Be Clear or Be Missed: How Job Seekers Get Seen, Trusted, and Remembered

At Career Files Dubai: Getting Seen in Emerging Tech, hosted by Unfeathered during MENA Blockchain Week, we explored one idea that sits at the heart of the modern job search

Being talented is not enough if people cannot understand what to remember about you.

In Dubai’s job market, especially across AI, Web3, blockchain, digital transformation, and emerging tech, opportunity does not move through skills alone.

It moves through visibility. Trust. Reputation. Proof. Relationships. Timing.

And most importantly:

Can people understand the job you are here to do?

Not your job title.

Not your entire resume.

Your Job To Be Done.

Because whether we like it or not, as candidates, we are also products in the market.

And every strong product has a clear JTBD.

If people have to second-guess what problem you solve, whom you help, or why they should remember you, you become forgettable.

Not because you lack value.

Because your value is hard to read.

Your Title Is Not Your Value Most people introduce themselves with a title.

“I’m a project manager.”

“I’m a designer.”

“I’m looking for a job.”

“I work in tech.”

These are labels.

They give people a category, but not always a reason to remember you.

A product does not win because it says, “I am software.”

It wins because the market understands the job it does.

Candidates are no different.

People need to understand:

Whom do you help? What problem do you solve? What outcome do you create? Why should someone believe you?
